Web Development Team Grows Again

In order to serve our clients’ increasing need for all things digital, Quiet Light has expanded its Web team once again. QLC is pleased to welcome Michael Hopkins on board as an interactive developer. Michael is a seasoned programmer with extensive experience in backend Web development and programming. He also brings an entrepreneurial and customer-centric perspective from his most recent role as president/partner of Oblique Ideas, Inc., a Rockford-based Web development company.

Prior to opening his own company, Michael held several positions in information technology, Web development and analysis within the financial services industry. He earned two bachelor’s degrees—one in management and the other in marketing—at Judson University where he also studied math and computer science.

“As Internet-related technologies have continued to dominate client communication programs, the need for expanding our Web group has increased,” according to Terry Schroff, CEO of Quiet Light. “QLC has been working with Michael and Oblique Ideas for the past year on a freelance basis, and we are delighted that he has joined our growing team of Web experts.”

Michael is a native of Rockford where he lives with his wife, four children and a brand new chicken freezer—which he acquired through his fondness for craigslist. Not that Michael has much free time these days, but when he does he likes to give back to the local community using his talents to develop civic and professional networking organizations.
