Q: Where are you from originally?
A: I’m originally from Cape Girardeau, Missouri (2 hours south of St. Louis, aka, where Gone Girl was filmed blush). My husband and I moved to Springfield, Missouri (home of Brad Pitt and Bass Pro), for school and fell in love with the town, never looked back.
Q: What do you like to do in your spare time? Hobbies?
A: My mother owned a coffee shop growing up, and I worked as a barista for years, so I have a big passion for the coffee industry. My favorite thing in the world is to stroll in a new downtown and experience new coffee shops. When I’m not traveling to new downtowns, I love going to the park with my son, husband and dogs, learning about history/politics and busting out Broadway tunes.
Q: What is your favorite food?
A: Homemade bread and artisan cheeses are some of my favorite things. I have a bin in my fridge dedicated to different types of cheese and a bin in my freezer dedicated to bread, because I can’t just have one type on hand.
Q: Do you cook – if so, what is your specialty?
A: Yes! I love to cook and bake. My favorite thing to make around the holidays is my signature chocolate meringue pie with Askinosie chocolate. However, my husband would say my specialty is steak and hot cocoa. I have many talents related to hot beverages.
Q: Do you have any pets?
A: We have a cat named Daphne, a Siberian Husky named Sasha and a Belgian Tervuren named Juno. There is a lot of fur in our house!
